Why this skill, why now

Endocrinology is now a daily clinical reality for every practising doctor

Thyroid disorders, diabetes, PCOS, obesity, osteoporosis, adrenal and pituitary conditions are among the most common presentations in any OPD. Patients expect structured, evidence-based hormonal care. This fellowship gives you the clinical framework to deliver it with authority.

🩺
Every OPD has endocrine patients

Thyroid reports, PCOS workups, blood sugar queries, calcium levels, bone density and hormonal complaints are daily clinical encounters no doctor can avoid.

📈
Hormonal disorders are rising

Obesity, metabolic syndrome, PCOS, hypothyroidism and Type 2 diabetes are at epidemic levels — every clinician needs a structured endocrine framework.

🛡️
Patients follow misinformation

A clinically trained doctor protects patients from unsafe thyroid supplements, unregulated hormone therapy and wellness misinformation around hormonal health.

💼
New OPD revenue vertical

Add structured endocrine OPD, hormonal wellness programs, metabolic clinics and thyroid management services to your practice.

One fellowship. Three outcomes: stronger clinical confidence, stronger positioning, stronger practice value.

For a doctor this is not just another online course — it is a practice-upgrade asset you can use across OPD, IPD, chronic disease management, hormonal wellness programs and patient counselling.

The transformation

Before vs after the fellowship

What feels uncertain before F.Endo. becomes structured, confident and clinic-ready after it.

⚠️ Before F.Endo.
  • Interpreting thyroid, adrenal and pituitary reports without a clear clinical framework.
  • Uncertainty around PCOS, reproductive hormones, growth disorders and bone metabolism.
  • Hard to manage endocrine emergencies — thyroid storm, adrenal crisis, hypercalcaemia.
  • Depending on referrals for conditions that structured knowledge could handle in OPD.
  • Endocrinology feels like a complex subspecialty requiring specialist-level training.
✅ After F.Endo.
  • Diagnose and manage thyroid, pituitary, adrenal and parathyroid disorders systematically.
  • Apply structured protocols for diabetes, metabolic syndrome, PCOS and reproductive endocrinology.
  • Handle endocrine emergencies, lipid disorders, hypertension and bone disease with clinical confidence.
  • Use advanced endocrine imaging, molecular diagnostics and precision medicine frameworks.
  • Build a structured Endocrinology OPD with hormonal wellness and metabolic programs.

The real-world advantage

A credential that becomes a visible professional advantage

F.Endo. isn't just "learn hormones." It's a way to position yourself as the structured, credible clinician every hormonal patient is looking for.

🩺
OPD Authority

Patients trust doctors who can interpret hormonal reports, explain thyroid conditions, manage PCOS and counsel on metabolic health with clinical clarity.

📋
Protocol-Based Practice

Convert scattered endocrine knowledge into repeatable assessment, diagnosis, pharmacotherapy and follow-up frameworks for every hormonal case.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Fellowship in Endocrinology: Overview & Career Value

What is the Fellowship in Endocrinology (F.Endo.)?

The Fellowship in Endocrinology (F.Endo.) is a 12-month, internationally accredited online endocrinology fellowship from Virtued Academy International, awarded by Virtued Eduversity, London, UK. It builds structured clinical competence across the full endocrine spectrum — thyroid, pituitary, adrenal, diabetes, reproductive, metabolic, paediatric and advanced endocrinology — through 52 modules and 16 clinical cases, so eligible doctors can assess, diagnose and manage hormonal and metabolic disorders with an evidence-based framework.

It carries 120 Global CPD points, includes lifetime access, and lets you use the F.Endo. suffix after your name on successful completion.

What is endocrinology, and what does an endocrinologist do?

Endocrinology is the branch of medicine dealing with hormones and the glands that produce them — the thyroid, pituitary, adrenal and parathyroid glands, pancreas, and reproductive organs — and the metabolic disorders that arise when they malfunction. An endocrinologist diagnoses and manages conditions such as thyroid disorders, diabetes, PCOS, obesity and metabolic syndrome, osteoporosis, and adrenal and pituitary conditions, interpreting hormonal reports and applying evidence-based treatment.

The Fellowship in Endocrinology builds structured, evidence-based knowledge across this full spectrum for eligible doctors.

Who awards the Fellowship in Endocrinology, and is Virtued Eduversity, London recognised?

The Fellowship in Endocrinology is awarded by Virtued Eduversity, London, UK, and delivered by Virtued Academy International, an autonomous organisation registered under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. It is internationally accredited by IAOTH, UK and IRAP, and every certificate carries a QR code and serial number for independent verification.

Is endocrinology a good area to develop after MBBS?

Yes — thyroid disorders, diabetes, PCOS, obesity, osteoporosis and hormonal complaints are among the most common presentations in any OPD, so structured endocrine knowledge is valuable for nearly every practising doctor. A clinician who can interpret hormonal reports and manage endocrine conditions confidently reduces unnecessary referrals and delivers better chronic-disease care.

The Fellowship in Endocrinology gives eligible working doctors this structured knowledge and a recognised credential without leaving practice.

How can I build endocrinology expertise after MBBS without a DM seat?

The most accessible route to structured endocrinology knowledge after MBBS — without a scarce DM/DrNB Endocrinology super-specialty seat — is a comprehensive endocrinology fellowship. The Fellowship in Endocrinology (F.Endo.) gives you 12 months of structured learning across thyroid, pituitary, adrenal, diabetes, reproductive and metabolic endocrinology, with 52 modules and 16 clinical cases.

It is a knowledge-based professional-development fellowship, not a DM/DrNB degree, so it complements rather than replaces super-specialty training and does not by itself confer specialist registration — but it is a practical way to build strong endocrine understanding for everyday practice.

Is an endocrinology fellowship after MBBS worth it for my career?

For doctors in general, family or internal-medicine practice who see hormonal and metabolic cases daily, an endocrinology fellowship after MBBS is worth it: it builds a structured framework for interpreting hormonal reports and managing thyroid, diabetes, PCOS and metabolic conditions, and supports a dedicated endocrine or metabolic OPD.

Actual roles and income depend on your setting and network, and Virtued Academy International does not guarantee any specific outcome. What the fellowship reliably provides is structured knowledge and a verifiable, internationally accredited credential.

Eligibility & Who Should Enrol

What is the eligibility for the Fellowship in Endocrinology?

The Fellowship in Endocrinology (F.Endo.) is for MBBS doctors and above — the published eligibility is a minimum of MBBS (intern or graduate), with MD, MS, DNB, DM, MCh and international MBBS-equivalent graduates also eligible, subject to internal eligibility verification. Final-year MBBS students and interns can also enrol and begin immediately.

AYUSH doctors should take the Fellowship in Endocrinology (Integrated Medicine); allied-health professionals such as nurses are welcome in the open-to-all Certificate in Endocrinology.

Can final-year MBBS students or interns enrol?

Yes. Interns and final-year MBBS students can enrol and start learning right away, studying alongside their duties thanks to the fully online, self-paced format. At certificate issuance, interns submit a temporary registration/licence and graduates their permanent licence, along with the MBBS degree documents.

I'm a foreign medical graduate (FMG) who hasn't cleared FMGE yet — can I enrol?

Yes. Foreign medical graduates can enrol in the Fellowship in Endocrinology even before clearing the FMGE, and all lectures, quizzes and certification are unaffected. Any optional in-hospital observership in India requires FMGE clearance; if you hold a valid licence abroad, an observership can be explored where available.

I'm an AYUSH, BAMS or BHMS doctor, or a nurse — can I do this fellowship?

The standard Fellowship in Endocrinology (F.Endo.) is reserved for MBBS and post-MBBS doctors. If you are an AYUSH doctor (BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, Siddha), the right route is the Fellowship in Endocrinology (Integrated Medicine), which offers the same 12-month depth and 120 CPD points, framed for your scope of practice.

Nurses and other allied-health professionals are welcome in the open-to-all Certificate in Endocrinology.

Is this one of the best fellowships to do after MBBS?

The Fellowship in Endocrinology is among the most useful courses to do after MBBS for doctors who see hormonal and metabolic presentations, because thyroid disorders, diabetes and PCOS are so common. As a 12-month online fellowship with 120 CPD points, it lets you build genuine endocrine expertise without leaving practice.

Curriculum, Duration & Learning Experience

What does the Fellowship in Endocrinology cover — full course details?

The Fellowship in Endocrinology curriculum spans the full field across 52 modules and 16 clinical cases: thyroid gland disorders (hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroiditis and thyroid oncology); pituitary, hypothalamic, adrenal and parathyroid disorders; advanced diabetes management (insulin therapy, CGM and metabolic syndrome); reproductive endocrinology (PCOS, infertility and menopause); growth and paediatric endocrine conditions; endocrine emergencies (DKA, thyroid storm, adrenal crisis and hypercalcaemia); lipid disorders, hypertension, obesity and bone disease; and endocrine imaging, molecular diagnostics, AI-assisted tools and precision medicine.

It is delivered as 52 modules and 16 clinical cases, with the live module list and durations kept current inside the learning platform.

Which endocrine conditions will I learn to manage?

You will build structured knowledge of thyroid disorders (including hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroiditis and thyroid oncology), diabetes and metabolic syndrome, PCOS and reproductive endocrinology, adrenal, pituitary and parathyroid disorders, obesity, lipid disorders, osteoporosis and bone disease, and endocrine emergencies — with clear diagnostic and management frameworks.

Does the Fellowship cover thyroid disorders, PCOS and hormonal report interpretation?

Yes — thyroid disorders, PCOS and hormonal report interpretation are central pillars of the Fellowship in Endocrinology. You learn structured, step-by-step frameworks for interpreting thyroid function tests, pituitary and adrenal panels, sex hormones and bone-metabolism markers, and for managing thyroid conditions, PCOS and reproductive endocrine disorders in OPD, supported by hormone-interpretation guides in the practice toolkit.

Does it cover diabetes and endocrine emergencies?

Yes. The fellowship covers advanced diabetes management (including insulin therapy, continuous glucose monitoring and metabolic-syndrome protocols) and endocrine emergencies such as diabetic ketoacidosis, thyroid storm, adrenal crisis and hypercalcaemia — giving you clinical confidence for both OPD and inpatient hormonal cases.

How long is the Fellowship in Endocrinology, and what is the duration?

The Fellowship in Endocrinology has a duration of 12 months (1 year), structured as a guided pathway with roughly up to two hours of study per week. Because you get lifetime access, the 12 months is a minimum guide rather than a hard deadline — you can finish faster or take longer at your own pace, and Virtued does not charge any extension fees.

Is the Fellowship fully online, and how much time does it need each week?

Yes — it is a fully online endocrinology course with pre-recorded video lectures, downloadable notes and self-assessment quizzes, built for working doctors: roughly up to two hours of study per week, at your own pace, with monthly live doubt sessions and lifetime access.

Is there an exam, and does the Fellowship include clinical observership?

There is no final examination; instead, each module includes self-assessment MCQs you can attempt multiple times. Clinical observership is optional and available for post-MBBS fellowship students, with placements that can be arranged across India, the UK and the USA; you also gain extensive practical knowledge through the 16 online case studies and expert Q&A sessions inside the LMS.

What learning support and resources do I get with the fellowship?

The fellowship includes an Endocrinology Clinical Practice Toolkit — hormone-interpretation guides (for thyroid, pituitary, adrenal, sex-hormone and bone-metabolism markers), metabolic-management protocols, patient-counselling scripts and templates and realistic case discussions — plus monthly live doubt sessions and 24/7 academic Q&A support inside the student dashboard.

Fellowship vs Diploma, DM/DrNB, Diabetology, Certificate & Integrated Medicine

Fellowship in Endocrinology vs a diploma in endocrinology — what's the difference?

A diploma in endocrinology is typically a longer, institution-based academic programme, whereas the Fellowship in Endocrinology from Virtued Academy International is a structured, case-based programme built around practical endocrine knowledge — hormonal assessment, diagnosis and evidence-based management — delivered fully online with lifetime access, so you can upskill alongside your existing practice.

Most doctors searching for an endocrinology qualification want practice-ready hormonal-care knowledge, which is what this fellowship delivers, with 120 CPD points and an internationally accredited, verifiable credential; it is a professional-development fellowship rather than a statutory postgraduate degree.

Do you offer a diploma or certificate in endocrinology?

Virtued Academy International offers two tiers rather than a separate ‘diploma’: the 3-month Certificate in Endocrinology (30 CPD) for a foundational overview — open to all healthcare professionals — and the 12-month Fellowship in Endocrinology (120 CPD) for comprehensive training. Most doctors wanting diploma-level depth are best served by the Fellowship.

How does the Fellowship compare with a DM or DrNB in Endocrinology?

A DM or DrNB in Endocrinology is a full super-specialty qualification obtained through NEET-SS, with extremely limited seats and years of supervised residency, and it confers specialist endocrinologist registration. The Fellowship in Endocrinology (F.Endo.) is a 12-month knowledge-based professional-development fellowship; it is not a substitute for a DM/DrNB, does not confer specialist registration, and does not replace supervised clinical training.

Doctors typically choose the fellowship for structured, flexible endocrinology knowledge without waiting for a scarce super-specialty seat.

Endocrinology vs Diabetology — which fellowship should I choose?

Diabetes is one important part of endocrinology. If you want to focus specifically and deeply on diabetes care, the Fellowship in Diabetology is the targeted choice; if you want the broader hormonal and metabolic spectrum — thyroid, pituitary, adrenal, reproductive and bone disorders as well as diabetes — the Fellowship in Endocrinology is the wider option.

Many doctors choose Endocrinology for breadth, or combine both to cover diabetes in depth within a full endocrine framework; each is a 12-month, 120-CPD fellowship.

Should I do the Certificate or the Fellowship in Endocrinology?

Choose the Certificate in Endocrinology (C.Endo, 30 CPD, 3 months) for an accessible foundation open to every healthcare professional. Choose the Fellowship in Endocrinology (F.Endo., 120 CPD, 12 months) if you are an MBBS or post-MBBS doctor who wants comprehensive endocrine training. Many learners start with the certificate and progress to the fellowship.

What's the difference between the standard Fellowship and the Integrated Medicine version?

Both fellowships share the same 12-month structure and 120 CPD points, but they are matched to different audiences: the Fellowship in Endocrinology (F.Endo.) is for MBBS and post-MBBS doctors, while the Fellowship in Endocrinology (Integrated Medicine) is for AYUSH doctors, framed for their scope of practice. The fee is the same; the framing and suffix differ.

How is this different from other online endocrinology courses?

Most online endocrinology courses are short and stop at a basic certificate. The Fellowship in Endocrinology is a 12-month, internationally accredited fellowship awarded by Virtued Eduversity, London, with 120 CPD points, lifetime access to 52 modules and 16 clinical cases across the full endocrine spectrum, and a QR-verifiable credential — built for doctors who want structured, verifiable hormonal-care upskilling.

CPD Points, Certificate & Recognition

How many CPD points does the Fellowship in Endocrinology carry?

The Fellowship in Endocrinology carries 120 Global CPD points (CPD hours / CME credits), accredited through Virtued Eduversity, London, UK, and recognised via IAOTH, UK and IRAP. Virtued's 12-month fellowships carry 120 CPD points and its 3-month certificates carry 30 CPD points.

What credential do I get, and can I use the F.Endo. suffix after my name?

On successful completion you receive an IAOTH, UK-accredited Fellowship in Endocrinology certificate awarded by Virtued Eduversity, London and delivered by Virtued Academy International, and you may use the F.Endo. suffix after your name as per Virtued Eduversity’s guidelines.

The Code of Medical Ethics Regulations, 2002 (Ref 1.4.2) guides that physicians display as a suffix only recognised medical degrees or certificates/diplomas and memberships/honours that confer professional knowledge or recognise an exemplary qualification or achievement.

Is the fellowship NMC-recognised, and does it let me practise as an endocrinologist?

The Fellowship in Endocrinology is a continuing-professional-development credential awarded by Virtued Eduversity, London and delivered by Virtued Academy International (registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India). Virtued's online/blended programmes operate independently of NMC approval requirements and are offered transparently as professional development, with international accreditation from IAOTH, UK and IRAP.

It is not an NMC-recognised medical degree or postgraduate qualification, and it should not be treated as a substitute for medical licensure, specialist registration or a DM/DrNB super-specialty. On its own it does not grant a licence to practise as a specialist endocrinologist. Apply the learning within your existing scope of practice and confirm requirements with the relevant councils or medical boards in your region.

This CPD programme is an independent professional development initiative, conducted outside UGC, AICTE, NMC, NCAHP, Ofqual, OfS, QAA frameworks, acknowledging their jurisdictions, without implying a practising licence, qualification to practise, statutory recognition, licensure eligibility, or equivalence to qualifications governed by regulatory bodies.

Is the certificate verifiable, and what does it show?

Every Fellowship in Endocrinology certificate shows the programme title, duration and 120 CPD points, and carries a QR code and serial number for independent verification. It is an IAOTH, UK-accredited credential awarded by Virtued Eduversity, London and delivered by Virtued Academy International.

How and when will I receive my certificate?

Once you complete the required learning and internal assessment, you can request certificate issuance; after Virtued verifies your completion, payment and qualification documents, the certificate is issued in both soft copy and hard copy, typically within 7–14 working days. For Indian students on programmes of 3 months or longer the hard copy is free; for international students, shipping may apply — see the Shipping and Exchange Policy.

Which documents do I need to submit for the fellowship?

For fellowship programmes, submit your MBBS degree marksheets and degree certificate, plus either a temporary registration/licence (if you are an intern) or a permanent licence (if you have completed your degree). You can submit these at registration or email them after completing the course, before certificate issuance.

Will this credential help doctors practising outside India?

Virtued Academy International has enrolled doctors from 195+ countries, and the Fellowship in Endocrinology awarded by Virtued Eduversity, London carries international accreditation as a professional-development credential. As with any CPD programme it does not itself grant a licence — confirm requirements with the regulator where you intend to practise.

Three things set Virtued Academy International apart: every specialty is offered across multiple levels and tracks — an open-to-all certificate, a Standard fellowship for MBBS/MD/MS doctors, and an Integrated Medicine fellowship for AYUSH and allied-health professionals — so no one is limited to generic courses; the CPD framing is stated transparently on every certificate rather than implying licensure; and Zero-Cost EMI removes the upfront cost barrier to upskilling — all backed by lifetime access and QR-verifiable, internationally accredited credentials awarded by Virtued Eduversity, London.
